We’re opening our doors at RAD’s London office in Angel for two unique immersive sessions where talking is off the table: our Silent Lunch and Silent Breakfast BSL tasters!

Step into a visual world, try navigating a meal and ordering food without using your voice, and then learn practical British Sign Language (BSL) with our team. It’s a welcoming, friendly, and hands-on environment designed to help people think differently about communication and accessibility.

Choose the time that suits you best:
🥪 Silent Lunch: Tuesday 22 September, 12:00pm – 1:30pm
☕ Silent Breakfast: Friday 25 September, 9:30am – 11:00am

No BSL experience needed at all, just come ready to try something new.

Beyond our great location in Angel and handy hybrid setups, we love making those who use our spaces feel looked after. From sorting out the catering to having helpful, welcoming faces on hand all day to keep things running smoothly, we do everything we can to make hosting easy for you.

International Week of Deaf People is nearly here, and we’re hosting a full schedule of events at our London office in Angel.

Take a look at what we've got going on throughout the week here 🗓️

Most of the sessions, including our BSL tasters, creative workshops, and talks, require a ticket booked in advance. All tickets are donation-based, so you can pay whatever feels right for you while supporting RAD’s ongoing work. Every contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated. Space for each session is limited, so we recommend booking early!

If you just want to drop by, our 185th Anniversary History Exhibition will be open at the office all week. You do not need to book for the exhibition, just pop in whenever we are open.

Tickets for the scheduled sessions are available now. Browse the events and book here: https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0y76XQ0

We’re proud to partner with deaf sector charities on a new project: 'BSL and AI: What is the Future?’ 🤝

AI could open up new accessibility options for BSL users, but it needs to be shaped by the community it's built for. You don’t need to be a tech expert to join - we are looking for people who care about inclusion for the BSL community and want to play a part in guiding future technology to get involved!
