Safeguarding Week: Day 1
The week started with a special assembly to launch the week and to reflect on what safeguarding involves.
Later in the day, our Year 5 children particpated in Gaming and Gambling workshops led by the organisation Y-Gam.
Meanwhile, Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 were engrossed in medicine safety workshops with a local pharmacist. The children asked lots of thought-provoking questions.
We also welcomed the Hub2U team who delivered engaging well-being workshops to our Year 4 children as well as offering advice and support to families after school.
The day concluded with a special assembly led by Cyclewise based on cycling safely on the roads, woodlands and in the Lake District. The session also included advice on preparation, what to do in an emergency and appropriate cycling attire.
Tomorrow, it's the Fire Service, First Aid, Cumbria Constabulary and Cumbria Business Partnership.
