The Commonwealth War Graves signage has been installed on the gates to the church. There are 2 graves cared for by the commission, Pte. John Watson and Pte. Gough. Have a walk around the churchyard and see if you can find them. Their stories are in the book ‘People of Ravenstone: A village in Leicestershire’ available on-line from The Great British Bookstore. This was all funded as part of our project ‘A New Life for our Community Church.’

The Book launch event on Saturday 9th August was a wonderful occasion. This celebration marked the publication of many short mini-biography stories in “People of Ravenstone: A Village in Leicestershire” and the end of The National Lottery Heritage Fund church restoration project. Thanks to all who came along to support the event and to those who have supported the NLHF project work over the past 2 years. Well done to the heritage team who brought this rather special publication together- it will hopefully be treasured and enjoyed for many years to come. The book is a available to buy on-line at The Great British Book Shop. 🎉🙏❤️🌟🎉

There will be an official ‘book launch’ event to celebrate the publication of the book and the end of The National Lottery Heritage Fund project ‘A New Life for our Community Church.’ This is planned for Saturday 9th August from 1 to 5 pm in church. We will have some copies of the book available to buy at the event. Ravenstone heritage walking maps will also be for sale.
