Bolsover Means Business

Those of you with a keen eye will notice the change from Bolsover Means Business to Business Bolsover (try saying that quickly!)

Bolsover District Council (BDC) was the driving force behind Bolsover Means Business, an initiative which helped businesses to prepare for Net Zero 2030. As part of this support, BDC ran events which were well attended by local businesses. To offer better-rounded support BDC will replace the Bolsover Means Business with Business Bolsover events.

These events will cover a range of topics all aimed at supporting local businesses as well as providing networking opportunities.

Can you join us tomorrow morning?

Bolsover District Council are in the process of researching a potential creative hub within the district!

This proposed digital hub will be a place where Creators, Curators, Makers and Artists can develop their experiences to showcase and sell. It’s also a place where lifelong learning embraces the digital era so that everyone in the Bolsover District can access the opportunities that new digital technology can provide.

The council will be holding an informal meeting on Thursday 27th October to discuss plans and have input from local businesses. If you’d like to join us at the event, drop us a message.

Is Bolsover becoming the next best thing? 🤩

Bolsover town could see a £15.48m investment as the Council bids for Levelling Up funding. This could see an increase in tourism and huge growth for Bolsover town as well as the businesses within it, and steps are already in place to get started right away if all goes to plan!

We certainly started the day with a spring in our reduced-carbon footstep 🍃

We're happy to share the great news from D2N2 that a Low Carbon Growth Fund of £6.5million will be invested across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, and Nottinghamshire by the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership.

The ground-breaking fund, which was launched in December last year, aims to provide solutions to help reduce the region’s carbon dioxide output and deliver more sustainable industrial practices.
