We had a wonderful time at the audio described performance of Miss Saigon at Alhambra Theatre, Bradford.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, helpful and attentive, making sure everyone was well looked after throughout the event.

The touch tour before the show was excellent and gave us the chance to explore the costumes, props and stage setting, which really helped bring the performance to life. The audio description throughout the show was clear, well timed and added so much detail without taking away from the music or atmosphere.

The cast were absolutely brilliant, with outstanding performances and powerful vocals from everyone on stage. The production itself was emotional, moving and visually spectacular. Even without being able to see all the staging, the combination of the touch tour and audio description made the whole experience immersive and enjoyable.
It was lovely to see such a strong commitment to accessibility, allowing visually impaired audience members to fully enjoy such an amazing show. A huge thank you to all the staff and organisers for making the evening so special. Highly

We had such a lovely trip to the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford to see Operation Mincemeat. It was a really entertaining and cleverly done show—full of humour, great performances, and plenty of moments that had us all laughing. We thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was a brilliant production.

The theatre itself was fantastic, and I have to say the staff were absolutely fabulous—so friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout the visit, which really made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

All in all, it was a really memorable outing and a great day out, despite a few little adventures on the journey home! Definitely one to remember 😊

We had a fantastic time watching Barnum at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt lively and full of excitement, very much in keeping with the circus theme. Happy Easter to the wonderful staff at the theatre (who always make our visit special).

The show itself was full of energy, colour and talent. The cast were brilliant—especially the lead playing Barnum, who carried the role with charisma and humour. The supporting cast were just as impressive, with a mix of singing, dancing and genuinely jaw-dropping circus skills. The acrobatics and ensemble performances added something really special and kept the audience engaged throughout.

The music was uplifting and memorable. What a treat the audio description was, describing the colourful costumes and clever staging. It felt like a proper big-top experience. At times, it felt like the audience was part of the show, which added to the fun.

Our recent group trip to see Faulty Towers at the Alhambra Theatre Bradford was genuinely one of the most enjoyable theatre experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing, and the excitement of seeing such a lively, interactive show together really set the tone for the afternoon.

The performance itself was absolutely brilliant—full of energy, quick wit, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. The audio description was excellent—clear, well-timed, and added so much depth to the performance for those who needed it. It made a huge difference in ensuring everyone in our group could fully enjoy the show.

A special mention has to go to the theatre staff, who were incredibly helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and their professionalism and warmth really enhanced the whole experience. It’s clear that the Alhambra Theatre prides itself on delivering not just great performances, but outstanding customer care as well.

Overall, we had a fabulous time.

The buddy Holly Story was a joyous celebration of rock ’n’ roll history — and a great afternoon out at one of Bradford’s Alhambra most beloved theatrical venues.

From the moment the lights dimmed, the energy in the auditorium was electric. The cast burst onto the stage with a raw enthusiasm that was instantly infectious. Each song was performed with tight precision but also a raw, soulful feel that kept the crowd tapping feet and nodding along throughout the show.

The script wove a compelling narrative around Holly’s meteoric rise from a Texas teenager to international rock icon, and the cast’s enthusiasm made his highs and lows genuinely affecting. There were moments of humour, tenderness, and even nostalgia.

The group would like to extend sincere thanks to everyone at the Alhambra Theatre for making today’s performance such a welcoming and enjoyable experience. The front-of-house team were warm, organised and professional, helping create a lovely atmosphere from the moment we arrived.

A special thank you goes to the audio description team. The quality, clarity and sensitivity of the description added so much to the performance, bringing the energy, movement and visual detail of Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story to life in a way that felt seamless and immersive. It ensured that the spirit and vibrancy of Buddy Holly’s music could be fully appreciated by everyone in the audience.

Your dedication to accessibility and audience care truly enhances the theatre experience — it does not go unnoticed, and it is very much appreciated.

The Ribble Valley Visually Impaired Group recently enjoyed a truly wonderful experience at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford, attending a performance of Snow White. From the moment we arrived, the day felt special, filled with excitement, laughter, and a real sense of togetherness.

The theatre staff were welcoming, helpful, and attentive, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and supported throughout the visit. The audio description provided during the performance was excellent, bringing the story vividly to life and allowing everyone to fully appreciate the costumes, sets, and magical moments unfolding on stage.

The production itself was a delight. The music, humour, and energy of the cast created an atmosphere of joy that could be felt throughout the theatre. There were plenty of moments of laughter, along with touching scenes that reminded us all of the timeless charm of the story. It was clear how much care and effort had gone into making the performance accessible and enjoyable for all.

The trip was not just about the show, but also about shared experience and companionship. It was a chance for members to relax, socialise, and create happy memories together. The outing left everyone smiling and talking enthusiastically about their favourite parts long after the curtain had fallen.

The Ribble Valley Visually Impaired Group would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford, and Minds Eye Audio Description for an inclusive, memorable, and magical experience. It was a day that will be fondly remembered by all who attended.

Choir voices filled the space beautifully at ‘The Grands Christmas Carol Concert’ this afternoon in Clitheroe. There was a shared joyous energy which made it easy to get into the Christmas spirit.

There was a mixed song list with thoughtful traditional arrangements and occasionally more worldly seasonal pieces — reflecting an international flavour and creative direction.

Wonderful to have a member of our group in the Choir. Well done Ann.
