🏊‍♀️❤️ GOOD LUCK LORNA! ❤️🏊‍♀️

Today at 8:30am, my lovely friend Lorna is taking on something absolutely incredible, an 11-mile swim across Windermere to raise money for LittleWood Creek Community Shelter. 🇰🇪❤️

She’ll be braving those cold waters and swimming for around SEVEN HOURS… and honestly, I don’t think I could think of anything more terrifying! 😂🥶🏊‍♀️

But if there’s one person I know who can do this, it’s Lorna.

Lorna is genuinely one of the most kind-hearted, determined, reliable, grounded and calm people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. She is calm when everyone else is panicking, always there when you need her, and quietly gets on with things without ever making a fuss.

And now she’s putting herself through 11 miles of cold water and roughly seven hours of swimming to help women and children at LittleWood Creek. That means more to me than I can ever put into words. 🥹❤️

Lorna, I am SO incredibly proud of you. You are amazing, and I know you’re going to dig deep and absolutely smash this.

Today, every stroke you take is helping us get one step closer to giving vulnerable mums and their children a safe place to call home. 🏠❤️

We are absolutely blown away by our lovely friend Lorna Robinson, who is taking on the incredible challenge of swimming 11 miles across Lake Windermere on Saturday, all to raise money for LittleWood Creek Community Shelter! 🥹❤️

11 MILES!! 😱🏊‍♀️ That is an incredible challenge, and we are so grateful that Lorna has chosen to support our little charity and the women and children we help in Kenya.

We have some VERY exciting progress to share from LittleWood Creek!

Three of our family bedrooms have now been fully sponsored! 🥹🫶

Each sponsorship takes a bare room and gets it ready to become a safe, comfortable space for a woman and her children who desperately need shelter.

A sponsored room includes:
✨ A finished ceiling
✨ Fully plastered walls
✨ Electrical sockets & switches
✨ Lighting
✨ A window
✨ A door

We had such a great day on Saturday whilst raising a fantastic amount for LittleWood Creek Community Shelter..
One of the success stories was the MIGHTY DUCKS who made the Semi finals in our Tournament beating some excellent ‘younger ’ teams 😝…in the Team we had Ptfc Coaches Russ Keen, Simon Weaver and Tom Collins , Tom had such a great time , here he is led down just chilling catching some rays after a tough Tournament..well done The Mighty Ducks ❤️

A huge thank you to the Clevedon and Portishead U13s, who also supported LittleWood Creek on Saturday by having their own kickabout before the adult teams got underway. ⚽💚

It was fantastic to see the next generation getting involved, having fun, and supporting such an important cause. Thank you to all the players, coaches, parents, and supporters who helped make it such a special start to the day. 🫶
