I'm not sure if we've already had our summer, but whatever the weather, why not join us for this month's Pop-up Cafe in the library this Saturday, June 6th, 10.30 to 12.00.

Join us for tea/coffee/juice and cakes. There's a slightly different selection of cakes every time depending on our wonderful bakers, so hopefully there will be something to tempt you.

We look forward to seeing you

It's the National Year of Reading and as part of our celebration of this easy and enjoyable good habit, we have a Reading Tree. Yes, we know it's a Christmas tree, but what a great use to put it to instead of gathering dust on top of the wardrobe till next year! Next time you're in, why not pick up a label and tell us what your favourite book is? Fiction, non fiction, poetry - we don't mind! If you need some inspiration, or have yet to discover a favourite, the library has an excellent selection of books, including new releases, available to borrow free of charge. I've shown those by Joe Heap, a young author who grew up not so far away in Bradford, that I spotted today whilst browsing. These include the brand new "Life Number Nine". There are plenty of other gems to find!
