It was lovely to welcome Marie from Skiddaw View Books into school today as part of our focus on “The Year of Reading.” Marie joined us and shared Usborne books with the children, talked about the childrens’ favourite Usborne books and then she held a book fair at the end of the day.

For each £10 spent at the fair, £6 was given back to school to purchase books… we now have the tricky job of looking in the catalogue and ordering over £350 worth of books! How amazing! 🤩

🥳 A huge thank you to Marie and everyone who came along and bought books - happy reading! I’m off to read the books that I bought as I just couldn’t resist them! (Mr G) 🫶

“Dave and Doris” our two runner ducks had a splashing good time in the water this morning! They even climbed up on the children’s knees for a snuggle! What a pair! 🦆

⭐️ Today, our Year 6s got their leavers’ hoodies!

A huge thanks to our PTA, The Friends of Ennerdale CE Primary School for these - the children love them! ❤️

❤️ Our WONDERFUL Year 6s have worked extremely hard this week with SATs and it was a pleasure to take them out today for a McDonald’s treat for lunch - they then enjoyed some time on the play park in Whitehaven (and of course, Miss Bowe and Mr G had to try out the play park too!)

🥰 Our tree in the main entrance has been transformed into our ‘Tree of Friendship’ for children to add the friendship bracelets that they have been making following Miss Bowe’s Collective Worship last week. 🥰
