Residents at Mead House in Walton-on-the-Naze are enjoying a newly refurbished communal kitchen, creating a brighter, more welcoming space to meet, socialise and spend time together.🏑

The Β£11,600 upgrade provides a modern community hub, fully equipped for shared meals, activities and the popular weekly coffee morning. β˜•οΈ

The investment is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting independent living and strong community connections across Tendring.

Do you know the truth about recycling? ♻️

This Recycle Week, we’re joining Veolia to separate fact from fiction and show you why your recycling really matters.

Recyclable materials are a valuable resource. After being collected, they are sorted at a Materials Recovery Facility before going to specialised facilities to become new products. πŸ’š

Battle of Britain Day ✈️

Today we remember the courage, sacrifice and resilience of the RAF pilots and aircrew who defended Britain during the Battle of Britain in 1940.

Their bravery helped secure a pivotal victory and protected our freedoms for future generations.

As we mark Battle of Britain Day, we honour all those who served and reflect on the lasting legacy of their dedication and courage.

Work is underway on two new community PlayZones in Clacton and Walton-on-the-Naze thanks to a Β£529,938 investment from Tendring District Council and the Football Foundation.βš½πŸ—οΈ

The new facilities at Clacton Leisure Centre and Bathhouse Meadow will provide welcoming, accessible spaces for football, sport, fitness and community activities, helping more residents get active and connect with others close to home.

Importantly, the PlayZones have been shaped by local residents and community groups, ensuring they reflect the needs and aspirations of the people who will use them.πŸ’š

This partnership investment is supporting healthier, more active and connected communities across Tendring, with construction now underway in Clacton and work in Walton-on-the-Naze due to begin soon.πŸ‘
