⚡️ Energy bills are too high. Today, and Claire Coutinho MP launched the most detailed energy analysis ever produced in British politics.

📄The findings of this report by Onward are stark.

💰Experts have found that if we scrap Net Zero and focus on making electricity cheap instead, we could save over £320 billion on electricity bills by 2050.

☀️ That’s the equivalent of around £540 per household, every year, for the next two decades and, here in the South Cotswolds scrapping any plans for the Lime Down Solar Park.

👆This isn’t about abandoning cleaner energy though.

🌳 Under this system, our electricity system would still be nearly 80% clean, with three times more nuclear than we have today.

0️⃣ Conservatives do not deny climate change. But Net Zero is making the problem worse. If we really want to reduce emissions, we have to make electricity cheap so that people can electrify their cars and home heating.

💵 This is about building a serious plan that doesn’t leave hardworking families across the country paying some of the highest electricity prices in the world.

🤦🏼‍♀️ Labour promised to cut bills by £300 without any plan to deliver it. Reform think saying ‘Net Stupid Zero’ enough times will cut bills. Neither of these approaches are serious.

💙 Only the Conservatives are putting in the hard yards and doing the work to develop a plan to bring your bills down

Well, well, well…. Roz Savage likes to complain about money buying influence but this donor Simon Ruddick, a financier who has publicly described support for trans communities as a priority has given her £25,000.

At the same time she has signed EDM 240 to disapprove the guidance on single s*x spaces and refuses to condemn the horrendous puberty blocker trial due to start in August on children as young as 11.
