Churchill and Langford Village Diary!

Planning an event in Churchill or Langford? Whether it’s a community fundraiser, a village hall coffee morning, or a local club meeting, make sure your date doesn’t clash with other key activities by checking the Village Diary and adding your event to it!

The Village Diary, maintained by the Communications Officer of Churchill Parish Council, is a central calendar designed to help local groups and residents coordinate activities throughout the year. It’s a simple but powerful way to avoid overlapping events, maximise attendance, and support each other’s efforts in building a vibrant, well-connected community.

To ensure your event gets the attention it deserves, and to help others do the same, fill out the form with the details of your event as early as possible. The more we all use the Village Diary, the more effective it becomes. - Email [email protected]

Let’s work together to keep Churchill’s community life thriving, one well-planned event at a time!

🎶 Sing for Fun Returns Tomorrow! 🎶

After the half-term break, we're delighted to welcome everyone back to Sing for Fun tomorrow (Friday) at St Mary's Church, Langford from 1.30pm–2.30pm, with refreshments afterwards for those who would like to stay and chat.

Did you know that scientific research has shown that singing can help reduce stress and anxiety, lower blood pressure, improve heart health and boost happiness? That's exactly why Sing for Fun is all about enjoying music together in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment.

You don't need to be able to read music, you don't need any singing experience, and you certainly don't need a "good voice". There are no auditions, no pressure and no judgement—just a chance to enjoy some well-loved songs and experience the uplifting power of singing.

Led by our wonderful pianist Alison Blundell, everyone is welcome to come along, have a go and see what a difference singing can make.

📍 St Mary's Church, Langford
🕜 Tuesdays, 1.30pm–2.30pm
☕ Refreshments afterwards
🎵 Free to attend (donations welcome)
✅ No booking required – just turn up!

Why not take that leap of faith and join us? We think you'll leave with a smile on your face and a song in your heart.

Volunteers’ Week – Could you spare a little time for your community?

There are lots of ways to get involved — whether you can offer an hour occasionally or would like to volunteer more regularly.

From helping at community events, supporting health walks, environmental projects and village activities, to assisting local groups and residents, every small contribution makes a difference.

Volunteering is also a great way to:
✅ Meet new people
