East Lambrook Manor Gardens

East Lambrook Manor Gardens England's foremost cottage garden designed by the legendary 20th century gardener/writer Margery Fish

A trip to Somerset isn't complete without a visit to East Lambrook. The internationally famous Grade 1 listed garden at East Lambrook Manor is the creation of the celebrated plantswoman the late Margery Fish. The garden is one of England's best-loved and a place of pilgrimage for visitors from all over the world. Her natural gift for combining old-fashioned and contemporary plants in a relaxed and

informal manner has created a unique garden of great charm. The garden is divided into a number of different areas including the terraces and the silver garden. It is renowned as the premier example of the English cottage garden style and has noted collections of snowdrops, hellebores and hardy geraniums. The nursery specialises in cottage garden plants and interesting and unusual perennials including an extensive range of hardy geraniums. Self-service tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake are available in the Malthouse Cafe.

It's 1st of March already! And what a beautiful sunny day ☀️ The Festival of Snowdrops is officially over, but there's still a few all around the gardens. And don't forget, we're still open 5 days a week from now until October! (Closed Sundays and Mondays) So come and see how the seasons change and enjoy some of the other gems the gardens have to offer throughout the year.

What a beautiful day for a wander in the gardens! ☀️☀️🌼
The seasons are changing and spring is on the way 🎉 but there's still many snowdrops to see, including freshly selected varieties in pots throughout the gardens. Plus loads of lovely Hellebores are out and other spring flowers are finally opening, including one of my favourites, Stachyurus praecox (final picture). Not to mention the incredible scent of the Daphne wafting through the air. Why not come and see for yourself before the seasons change again! 😉

We're getting through the month but since it's been so cold so far, there's still plenty of snowdrops out in the garden! It's just warm enough today for them all to open 😁 and they garden is looking beautiful despite the drizzle 🤍❄️🌱

There's still some snowdrops available for sale, as well as snowdrop sculptures, and lots of other interesting plants for sale in our nursery.

It may be cold but it's still a great day to come to as we are open for the National Garden Scheme, meaning tickets proceeds go to charity today. We know it's tempting to wait for nicer weather but don't wait too long! There's plenty of snowdrops to see in the garden right now ❄️🌱

Not the sunniest of mornings but the gardens look beautiful nonetheless 😍

Snowdrops are popping up all around the garden, plus there's more in the beautiful display bed (making it easier to see all the intricate details of each variety), and lots more for sale! Along with plenty of hellebores and a selection of other interesting plants 🌱

Our wonderful volunteers are also excited to welcome you into the cosy cafe with plenty of tea, coffee and cake 😊

Dogs absolutely welcome! 🐶
