Chudleigh Community Pool and Chudleigh Community Project

Chudleigh Community Pool and Chudleigh Community Project Run by the community, for the community. We are a registered charity, set up in 1989. The Charity Commission Registration Number is 900204.

The Community Swimming Pool was completed in 1997 and is now operated by us, using both paid and volunteer workers. It is an outdoor pool, open from May to September each year. Fundraising continues, to help cover running costs for the pool. It is solar heated and uses a low chlorine water treatment system. We manage the Community School Hall outside school hours. When the school was built the com

munity contributed £100,000 so that a larger hall than would have been provided would be provided. Community changing rooms and toilets and a community store room were also provided as the result of this contribution. In association with "Villages in Action", we promote music and drama events. This provides entertainment for the people of Chudleigh and any profit is added to money raised from other fundraising activities. Chudleigh Community Project is run by a committee of volunteers plus other committed volunteers. Well Chudleigh pool closes at 6:30 tonight for the winter. We have had a brilliant season, so many happy swimmers. We started and finished with pool parties. We got to know the early birds and many of the the families. There were the dedicated aqua circuits guys and those who preferred the sound baths. We had yoga sessions, full moon swims, a swimming gala and the 24 hour swim. The kiosk did a great trade and was staffed by our lovely volunteers. The private hires were amazing, the lifeguards kept everything ticking along and we delivered free swimming lessons to both weaker swimmers from Chudleigh primary school and a 4 week course for special needs swimmers. Thank you to all who helped, there were many of you. We will be open in May 2027 and look forward to welcoming you all back then. The sun is shining, the music is playing and the inflatables are out. Its pool party time🏊‍♀️🥳.
There are spaces for swimming at 12.00pm - 2.00pm and 2.00pm - 4.00pm, no booking required.
Food available from the barbecue and the kiosk is open.

It has been the most amazing season at Chudleigh pool and we are sad to be closing soon for the winter.

Just to remind everyone that we have our end of season pool party on Sunday 6th September at Chudleigh pool. Music, barbeque and swimming, perfect way to round off the summer holidays. Prices are as usual, £5 adult,£3 for 8 to 17 year old, £1 for 5 to 7 year olds, under 5s free. We have divided the afternoon into 2 sessions, 12 midday to 2 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm. This is to give as many of you as possible a swimming session. Please book on line and come and say bye for the winter, we will be open for more fun in May 2027.

Thank you for all of your support this season, the pool belongs to the community and we have seen so much enjoyment this year. Keep giving us ideas on what you would like to see next season.

Hello everyone, it’s our last full moon of the season tonight at Chudleigh pool. Come and have a swim under ( hopefully) the stars and celebrate the change to Autumn. The swim is 9:30 pm until 11 pm, £5 per person, adults only. Please book on line if you can. Hope to see you later.

Bit quiet at Chudleigh pool this week. We only have about 2 weeks left of this season, closed on 8th September 2026 for the winter. We will open next year! We are planning for early May.

However come and have a swim while you can. There are spaces in our lovely moonlight swim on Friday 28th August, 9:30 to 11:00 pm. It is the last one of the season. Please book on line to ensure you can get in.

There are some spaces for our last sound bath of the season on Wednesday 2nd September, 6:45 pm to 8:15 pm, one hour on the water. Please book on line.

Finally we have a pool party for everyone on Sunday 6th September. There are 2 swimming sessions to book on line so we can manage large numbers. Please come along and let us end our super season as we started it with a great party.

Just for clarity 🙃

Chudleigh pool is open for the last day of the season on Monday 7th September and closed for the winter on Tuesday 8th September and onwards. Reopening May 2027.
