Martyn Lewis on the energy crisis and the massive increase in energy prices in April…
anywhere between 50% and 60% which for most people will be £600-£900 a year

The advice is…..
if the fixed price of a contract is not more than 40% above the current capped tariff, then switch to the fixed tariff.

if you want to opt out of the price increase of 50-60% in April then I am looking to help anyone who is on either a fixed contract which is coming to an end in three months time or longer or who is on the standard variable tariff, which will be just about everyone who is not on a prepay meter.
I can extend the current standard variable tariff till 30th November 2022 so you will not suffer the largest increase in energy prices ever recorded with probably another increase in October.
