Could you open your garden to help raise vital funds for Katharine House Hospice? 🌿

Our much-loved Open Gardens scheme is returning and we’re looking for garden hosts to take part.

Whether you live in a town or village, gardens of all shapes and sizes are welcome. 🌸

You can open your garden on its own, alongside nearby gardens, or as part of a garden trail with neighbours in your area.

Some hosts also add things like cake sales, plant stalls or a tombola to help raise even more for the hospice. You can make it your own!

We’re thrilled to share that Katharine House Hospice has been selected for the Waitrose Brackley Community Matters green token scheme at the start of 2026.

If you’re shopping in store over the coming months, you can support us simply by placing your green token in our box (we’re on the left!). Every single token helps make a difference.

Your votes decide how much each charity receives:
💚 £1,500 for first place
💚 £1,000 for second place
💚 £500 for third place

These funds will help us continue providing specialist palliative care for adults with an incurable illness across north Oxfordshire and south Northamptonshire.

🚤 Volunteer for your local hospice this weekend! 🎶✨

We’re looking for volunteers to help with our Katharine House Hospice stall at the Banbury Canal Festival this Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October.

It’s a chance to meet new people, enjoy the festival atmosphere and support your local hospice. With a variety of 1.5 and 2 hour shifts across the weekend, it’s easy to get involved. 🙋

Volunteering is fun, rewarding and raises vital funds so we can care for more local people and their families when it matters most. ❤️

Thrilled to announce we have partnered with Katharine House Hospice as one of our community partners.

Katharine House Hospice provides free specialist care for adults with incurable illnesses in north Oxfordshire and south Northamptonshire. The team really do an extraordinary job in the care they provide.

Every year they need to raise more than £3 million so that they can go on caring for people living with an incurable illness. Here at The Cherwell Agent we are proud to help, even in some small way.

Our sellers will have the option to select KHH as their chosen partner at the end of the transaction, meaning The Cherwell Agent will donate £100 to the cause.

Huge thanks to Katharine House Hospice and Sue Blank for her enthusiasm and support in setting this partnership up.
