With a red heatwave alert in place, some schools have closed to protect children and staff.

As families spend more time outdoors, please be extra careful near water.

An exceptional spell of hot and humid weather is expected across our region, with impacts to the general population highly likely.

Water may be tempting but it is dangerous, please only go to lifeguarded sites/pools
BBQ's are great but make sure you use designated areas and do not have them in open grass areas the risk of wildfires are high.

🚨 NEW CREW ALERT! 🚨 Second in a week! Please join us in giving a massive Chipping Norton welcome to our newest Firefighter, FF King! 🧑‍🚒👏
FF King has now passed all his basic training and just smashed his on-station 'safe to ride' test showing amazing enthusiasm and dedication to his new role. As of today, he’s got his pager on his belt and is officially 'on the run' to respond to incidents alongside the rest of the team. 📟🔥
This makes him the second new recruit to join our ranks just this week! It’s an incredibly exciting time for the Chippy crew as we grow our team to keep our community safe.
If you see FF King out and about in Chipping Norton, give him a wave and wish him luck!

🚒 Welcome to the Crew, FF Gray! 🚒
We are thrilled to officially welcome our newest crew member to Chipping Norton Fire Station! FF Gray has successfully smashed all of his initial assessments and has officially been issued his pager, meaning he is now on the run and ready to serve our community. 🚨

He brings a massive wealth of knowledge to the team, as he is already a serving Crew Manager with the RAF. Having that level of fire experience on board is an incredible asset to our station and our local community.

It takes a lot of dedication to balance these roles, and we couldn't be prouder to have him join the ranks. We’re looking forward to working alongside you, FF Gray! 🚒

A HUGE thank you to all the very generous attendees of our car wash today! 🥰👍 Chipping Norton - you came out in force to support us - as always - and a whopping £1856.10 was raised for the Fire Fighters Charity! ❤️

A massive thank you also to Kaleb Cooper for joining us for the event 🚜 And also to members of our senior leadership for joining us and getting stuck in!

We were so busy we didn’t manage to get a crew photo, so here’s a terribly merged set of photos from the day showing us all! 🤣
