Join us tonight from 7pm for Carols Around the Tree on the Shipton under Wychwood Village Green. A relaxed, festive sing-along with piano accompaniment, open to everyone - families, friends and visitors. Wrap up warm, bring your singing voice, and come and enjoy a lovely Christmas Eve tradition.

Shipton Christmas Tree 60th Anniversary Celebration Tonight from 5pm!

On 6th December, the Shipton Parish Council will celebrate the 60th anniversary of a Christmas tree on the village green in Shipton-under-Wychwood with an event not to be missed.

Schedule of events

5.00pm – Arrival of Father Christmas and his elves

5.15pm – Visit and pictures with Father Christmas begin

5.30pm – Stocking competition submission closes

5.40pm – Switching on the lights

6.00pm – Best Stocking results

6.30pm – Father Christmas departs

The Shipton Under Wychwood skate park behind the New Beaconsfield Hall is about to undergo a big update!! 🛹 Work is commencing at the end of this week and will be completed in a few week’s time. During this time, 8 spaces will be blocked out in the car park for all the equipment and the skatepark will be out of use. The playground will continue to be operational.
