The Wild Cattle of Chillingham

The Wild Cattle of Chillingham The Chillingham Wild Cattle Association is a charity set up in 1939 to help protect these rare beasts The route is not suitable for wheel chairs and pushchairs.

The Chillingham Wild Cattle Association (CWCA) was set up in 1939 as a means of supporting the Chillingham Wild Cattle. The CWCA is a charity and depends entirely on donations, memberships and sales of souvenirs to keep the cattle going and to help maintain the park. If you would like to visit the Wild Cattle, you can come on one of our guided tours with one of our wardens. Please wear appropriate

footwear. The route will consist of varying terrains, mud, streams and possibly unforeseen detours so we recommend walking boots or wellies. Dogs are not allowed in the park due to health and safety and biosecurity reasons. Book your tour on our website:

Another day, another school group!

This group enjoyed learning about the different habitats within Chillingham Park and how the Wild Cattle shape them with their daily habits.

They also helped us with some habitat management by helping us to crush an area of bracken 🐮
