Ajs Training Highways Academy are very proud that our Lead Apprenticeship trainer Stuart Pocock was a finalist in the Excellence in Teaching Awards,
His professionalism and dedication since we started as a government approved apprenticeship provider in January 2023 has helped transform Ajs Training highways Academies apprenticeship program.
He has been recognised for his support not just to Ajs Training, but the employers and apprentices that he has been looking after, leading to many gaining distinctions in their Apprenticeships.
The apprenticeship programmes we are now registered to run are as follows.
Level 2 Fencing with 2 pathways, General fencing and Vehicle Restraint System Fencing.( FISS/CSCS card approved)
Level 2 Ground workers (CSCS card approved)
Level 2 Highways Maintenance Skilled Operative(CSCS card approved)
Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor (CSCS card approved)
We cannot emphasise enough that without strong and dedicated people like Stuart working in the industry and for the industry , apprenticeship programs such as the ones he leads would fail, which would lead to lack of industry recognition and support.

So a big heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Stuart for gaining this recognition in such a short time from all at Ajs Training and everyone who you have supported.

Some Highway Steward's and permitting coordinators from Balfour Beatty Ringmer depot have been in this week and pleased to say have all passed their NRSWA Supervisors qualifications.
Well done, guys, and happy to say some of your colleagues will be joining us here soon.

Wire Rope Vehicle Restraint System HTC Spreader demonstration 9th April at our VRS training centre in Caerwent NP26 5BB ( Core Highways Office)For anyone who is interested and can react quickly, HTC who are a company who have developed a Electrically Operated Wire Rope Spreader will be completing a demonstration to industry at our VRS training centre in Caerwent on the 9th April at 13:00hrs. we have been checking it out ourselves today and completed a short demo video which will be uploaded to our Youtube channel later, it is a game changer for industry , a very safe system that will give companies a safe method of working and will finally eliminate the use of inappropriate hand made tools which are still causing many injuries globally.For more info please contact me 07778 459570, I will be on site from 0930 so can also do the demo if you are not able to meet the HTC team later on
