Does your child's school offer wraparound childcare?

If they don't, parents have the right to request the school to consider providing wraparound or holiday childcare if it isn't already available.

You should write to your child’s school by letter or email and include when you most need wraparound childcare, detailing the days and times you need it. Before making a decision about your request, your school may also need to find out about the childcare needs of other families.

Did you know there is universal funding for all 3 and 4 year olds? The 3 and 4 year old Universal Early Years Funded Entitlement (EYFE) means you can access up to 15 hours funded childcare. It is available to all children regardless of their family circumstances.

It can be used alongside the 3 and 4 year old Extended EYFE for Working Families. This means you can access an additional 15 hours funded childcare, allowing you to access up to 30 hours funded childcare. But all working families entitlements are subject to eligibility.
