A short but busy week!

We have:
*Visited the Library van.
*Planted sunflowers.
*Sown tomato seeds.
*Looked at healthy and unhealthy foods.
*Had a variety of snacks….

….And much, much more including lots of creative free play!

As we look to September 2026 some of our children will be moving into Reception. This means that we have some spaces available.

The children have really enjoyed the warmer weather this week and we have spent lots of time outside.

They have:
*been getting very muddy in the mud kitchen and have loved playing with the new water area.
*watered our seeds.
*talked about what else they would like to grow.
*enjoyed listening to stories that we borrowed from the library van last week.
*made some yummy chocolate chip cookies!

This week we have looked at the story Oliver’s Vegetables, visited the library van and had a session of Bikeability. The children have enjoyed more outdoor play, painting outside and have shown lots of great number work and the pre-schoolers have been doing some fantastic letter formation this week!

A big thank you to our fabulous PTA. This term they have supported EYFS in lots of activities. Although the activities have been mainly for EYFS the resources will be used throughout the school.

We have been bought some seeds, compost and trowels (which will also come in very handy for gardening club next term, as well as the new greenhouse that we have).

Today we had a fabulous dinosaur day and the PTA paid for canvas bags, paint and stencils as well as cookie cutters to make our special dino toast.

Lots of fine motor activities and outdoor fun this week, including:
*Rescuing dinosaur from the gloop using tweezers.
*Using pipettes to transfer coloured water.
*Putting plates (pegs) onto dinosaurs bodies.

Also, a very big well done to Florence, Cece and Freya Pearse for joining in at the Talent Show on Tuesday!
