👟An incredible turn out of 72 fantastic junior parkrunners joined us this morning and did an awesome job thank you so much for coming along to HVP today including 10 first timers!! Hope you ALL had a wonderful time superstars 🌟

🌈 Next week is our rainbow run so we'll hand out bracelets and stickers at the start but feel free to wear rainbows, bright colours & hearts to celebrate pride week with us!
Then help yourself to love hearts or heart chocolate at the finish. We would love to celebrate with as much colour on the course as possible!
(Just to confirm again anything we give out to runners is completely free & provided by the volunteer team so make sure youre giving them all a big thank you and a high5!)

🦺A HUGE thank you to our fabulous volunteers again this morning for helping us put on the event! We currently need another few marshals next week if you can give us an early heads up if you can help!

💚 A MASSIVE congratulations to all our wristbands this morning!! An excellent achievement for you all a big well done! Keep it up! ☺️

🏫 We also have Cutthorpe primary visiting us as our FIRST primary partnership next week so lets give them a very warm welcome!

⚠️ Just another reminder to 1. Please listen to the briefing- i know alot of you have heard it before but we dont want any of our new runners to miss any important information and its only a few minutes.

2. Please keep to the left and pass on the right and make sure the path is kept as clear as possible. We LOVE to see families taking part together but what we dont want to see is some of the faster runners colliding with anyone. Parents if you could please remind your children to keep left and overtake on the right and if you are running together be mindful as our priorities are to keep everyone safe and have fun!
Our marshals have been reminding people but if we could try and be careful it REALLY is to keep you safe & avoid accidents not just being moany!

💚Exciting news - next week we may have an interpreter joining us to help with the briefing which will be a really great opportunity for us to try some parkrun sign language & be inclusive to all

☀️An OUTSTANDING morning at HVP - Im going to start by saying a BIG thank you to our wonderful volunteers and to guest tailwalker Sian who said our parkrun was the prettiest one shes been too and how lovely all the children are which is the best feedback!
So thank you so much everyone!
It was such a gorgeous morning with lots of nature & animals to enjoy too

Its also so nice to see so many of you enjoying the park afterwards!

As well as our wonderful regulars out of the 54 remarkable runners today we had 10 first timers and I spotted a couple from our primary assembly this week - if hope you ALL enjoyed it and will be back soon!
Especially soon as next week is BISCUIT WEEK!!! 🍪

A MASSIVE congrats to Emily & Thomas on their half & Jennny on her full marathon wristbands - I hope youre super proud! 🌟

We will be back - with biscuits - 9am next Sunday and lets hope the sun stays out for us!!
