What a load of nonsense.

Warrington is home to Gullivers World, Walton Hall and Gardens and even laser quest at Warrington Quasar to name just a few. That’s in addition to enjoying great sport at Warrington Wolves and Warriors.

Our area has so many fantastic places to visit and things to do. Thriving communities need great days out, culture, and sport. As Mayor I will champion our great attractions and visitor economy that supports tens of thousands of jobs.

Warrington has been ranked among England’s least family-friendly areas in a study of child-focused attractions

🎉 Congratulations to our new Councillor, Cllr Stephen Mosley on a very well deserved win last night.

Stephen will be a real champion for Christleton and Huntington and a huge asset to our Conservative team.

😡 Warrington council is £billions in debt. Instead of focussing on getting it sorted and delivering for families - they’ve scheduled a debate about Russian sanctions - a laudable cause no doubt, but the council has absolutely no control over these decisions.

When I ran Clark’s Shoes and Boots Opticians, my whole focus was on getting the important stuff done. As Mayor it would be the same.

Delivery, not politics.

A motion calling for Warrington Borough Council to ‘oppose any weakening or premature removal of sanctions’ on Russia until Ukraine’s…

I recently met Robert Richardson, CEO of the Institute of Hospitality.

We discussed the important of hospitality to Cheshire and Warrington’s economy, and to our communities. We also talked about the role hospitality plays in providing job and opportunities to young people.

Like retail, hospitality provided young people with hugely valuable life skills. We have to back our pubs, clubs, hotels and restaurants.

⚓️Cheshire’s waterways are such an important part of our history.

They are a great reason for tourists to visit Cheshire, as well as a fantastic day out. I’m sure many people, like me, have favourite family memories from spending time on the water.

So if you’re looking for something to do this weekend - why not check out this fantastic local museum. Bargain!

It's celebrating its 50th anniversary weekend

I recently met with Inovyn, who are a leading local employer, and a critical part of the UK’s chemical engineering industry.

They could not have been clearer about the damage being done to industry by high energy prices. This includes a serious threat to the centuries old Cheshire salt industry.

We need energy that is cheap, reliable, secure, and green. This means using our own oil and gas resources as we build nuclear capacity alongside renewables.

As part of the campaign to oppose Peak Cluster, I’ve been speaking to the impacted rural communities across Cheshire.

This video explains my position: it’s expensive, will add to our already high energy costs, will severely impact rural, farming, and natural habitats. And it delivers nothing for Cheshire.

Busy day in Macclesfield today. As I do every time I’m there, I found time for a visit to Olive Open Kitchen & Deli on Mill Street. Fantastic deli, and came home with some Lemon & Blueberry Zeppoles. It’s a great place!
