One of the Streets we looked at included Dukesway especially due to the requests from residents who reside there.

This is a notice of work to be completed in July which is fantastic news.

I am so pleased to have supported the new installation on the Moston roundabout with my members budget from last financial year.

I am pleased to also say that i led the conversations and i worked alongside residents Dale Barracks, Fox Barracks and the Queens Yeomanry and CWaC to finally make the Moston roundabout look as fabulous as it does. It has taken a couple of years but i have fulfilled my promise to the residents in Moston that i will make improvements to their area. It took conversations on the doorstep to meetings within the Barracks to finally come up with what you all see at the roundabout...

Thank you to Fox Barracks and particularly Cpt K Mighall for his support in successfully applying for funds to cover most of the cost of this project, i am indeed very grateful.

Thanks to the Medics 22MMR for raising funds through holding a charity event too.
And Thanks to SAFA, particularly Beth for your support.

The roundabout looks so good and definately is welcoming to visitors to who drive through Moston and Upton.

Doorknocking in Upton has been very positive today.

Teams are out everyday in CWaC speaking to residents, asking if there are any issues that they require assistance with which is great and the response on the doors have been positive.

The issue that has come up alot on Newhall road has been the uneven flag paving and having previously reported them i have had the following response from CWaC :

Following the number of enquiries raised by this resident, site inspections have been carried out by our Network Steward.

Highway Safety Inspections are undertaken by experienced and professionally qualified Network Stewards in accordance with our Code of Practice for Highway Safety Inspections. Any defects identified in line with the Code of Practice are raised and repaired.


The highways team have looked at the condition survey data for Newhall Road, and it has not been ranked as the highest priority for an improvement scheme this financial year. This footway will continue to be assessed as part of future year’s improvement programmes for resurfacing works.


However, in the meantime, the footway will continue to be inspected as part of our routine Highway Safety Inspections and any actionable defects will be raised accordingly.

Other issues did come up including Verges and potholes that will be looked at over the course of the week.

Ward walk around Weston grove, Newhall Rd, Peckforton way, Shipbrook Rd and Halton Rd.

I visited a resident who called me about an issue. I will take that casework to work on over the next few days.

It's lovely to see the shops full with customers.

I am collecting my takeaway from the Chicken shop in Upton... Evening off today.
