Donate to Hertfordshire Libraries

Itโ€™s now easy to donate online to the library service by visiting our website. We are often offered donations of money by users who wish to show their appreciation for the service. Those who visit the library are able to do this in person. Now you can also support the library service by donating online. Hertfordshire Libraries are a universal and free service to

the community. Your decision to donate is an entirely voluntary one. We ask that you donate only as much as you feel comfortable with. You may want to consider either a one-off payment or more frequently.

100% of each donation goes directly to Hertfordshire Libraries and is used to maintain and enhance our services. https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/librarydonations

Last Week our LEGO Club theme was... People who help us!

On the morning of the 9th of June, we had a special event called CareFest. It was all about providing ways to help those who need a little extra help in their day to day. We had occupational therapists, giving out gadgets to make life a little easier. It got us thinking about the people who help us, so we asked the children to create a build that represented anybody who they feel is there to provide help and support to them.

We had an incredibly detailed scene showing firefighters putting out a fire, a hospital filled with patients all being healed by a very talented doctor, we even had a scene recognising all four of the emergency services, the coastguard, police service, fire service and ambulance service!)

Such great work last week; we can't wait to see you this week for our last LEGO Club of this term!

6 โ€“ 14 June is the Great Big Green Week, an opportunity for communities across the UK come together to celebrate looking after our planet and discovering simple ways to make a greener future. Itโ€™s a lovely time to explore nature, learn about reducing waste, and feel hopeful about caring for the world around us. We have put together a selection of board and picture books which are perfect to share with young children, helping them build awareness of, and respect for, their environment in a fun and positive way: https://tinyurl.com/3rh8ed5n

๐ŸŽ Last Week our LEGO Club theme was... Parties and Celebrations! ๐ŸŽ

In keeping with the recent Arsenal grand celebrations, we asked the children to create a build that was representative of a celebration or event.

We had a Chinese lunar dragon, another grand football game celebration, we even had a rather unique kite viewing beach party, which is definitely something that I would love to attend.

Great work everyone, I can't wait to see your brilliant building again this week!
