Kicking off the College year in style with our annual Freshtival event! From meeting new people and exploring clubs to taking on the giant inflatables (and the famous bull ride), there was something for everyone. Even our Head of Premises (who just turned 60) tried to take on the bull... We hope students found a club, society, or community they're excited to join this year!

Wellbeing Wednesday

Understanding self-harm can feel difficult, but understanding it is an important step towards supporting children and young people who may be struggling. The Wellbeing Hub recommends this powerful podcast led by Professor Dennis Ougrin, an expert in child and adolescent mental health. Professor Ougrin discusses self-harm in young people, sharing insights from his work on developing psychotherapeutic interventions and advancing our understanding of why self-harming behaviours occur.

If you wish to learn more about recognising signs, offering support, and helping young people access the help they need. You can listen to the podcast that will be release on 7th September, meanwhile you can also read more about the topic by following this link:

Congratulations to all our GCSE students receiving their results today!

45% of all grades for the class of 2026 were 9-7 (A*-A), with 90% getting a 9-4 grade in both English and Maths. There were lots of individual successes, with 12 students gaining between 7-10 grade 9s and an amazing 34 students carrying away a clean sweep of 9-7 (A*-A) grades.

There are not enough words to describe how proud we are of our students today for reaching their achievements. These results are a testament to their hard work and determination.

As you take your next steps, whether into further education, training, or new opportunities, we wish you every success for the future. We do not doubt that you will continue to achieve great things and make a positive impact wherever your journey takes you.

Congratulations to our A-Level students on their results today!

41% of all grades were A* or A with an amazing 50 students achieving straight A*-A results, some of which are listed below. 72% of all grades were A*-B with 90% being A*-C.

We are incredibly proud of everything our students have achieved. These results reflect years of hard work, determination, resilience and dedication, both inside and outside the classroom.

Today is a chance to celebrate their successes and recognise the commitment they have shown throughout their time with us. As they take their next steps into university, apprenticeships, employment and new opportunities, we wish them every success and happiness in the future.

Remember, once a Salesian, always a Salesian.
