Sandford Lido Ltd is a charitable trust which operates Sandford Parks Lido for the benefit and enjoyment of the people of Gloucestershire and beyond. During the summer season, Sandford Parks Lido is a great day out in the heart of Cheltenham, on the edge of the Cotswolds. It is a children's paradise with slides,

Brick sales will officially CLOSE on Tuesday 8th of September, and once they close, there will be no further opportunity to purchase one.

10 DAYS TO GO! 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♀️

The countdown to the Cheltenham Triathlon is officially on - and whether you’re taking part or not, we’d love to see you there! 💙

There’s nothing quite like race day at the Lido. From the first swimmers hitting the water to cyclists heading out onto the course and runners making their way through Sandford Park, the support from spectators really does add to the atmosphere.

So if you’re in and around Cheltenham, come along, find a spot and cheer on our brilliant competitors! 👏🏼

📸 Our content partner Samuel Legge will also be out and about on and around the course capturing the day, so competitors and supporters - if you spot him, don’t forget to give him a wave!

🐶 A little call for help from your Lido…

Our annual Dog Swim is approaching, which means we're beginning to put together our much-loved Dog Swim raffle! 🐾

We're reaching out to our local community to ask whether any businesses, organisations or individuals would be willing to donate a raffle prize.

It could be a gift voucher, an experience, a product, something for our four-legged visitors - or anything else you think would make a lovely prize.

No donation is too big or too small. Every single contribution helps us create a fantastic raffle 💙

🍂 It’s that time of year again…

The mornings are getting a little cooler, the evenings a little shorter, and as we begin the gradual transition towards our winter and cold water season, our Lido timetable is changing too.

We’re not saying goodbye to summer just yet - there’s still plenty of swimming to be enjoyed - but this is always the point in the season where things begin to shift.

For some of you, colder water means it’s nearly time to hang up the goggles for another year. For others… this is where the fun really begins 🥶👀

Whether you’ve spent the summer swimming lengths, meeting friends poolside, enjoying a post-swim coffee, or you’re already counting down to those crisp cold-water mornings, thank you for being part of our Lido community.

📅 Our new timetable comes into effect from Monday 31st August, as we adapt our sessions around the changing daylight hours.

Please be aware that the timetable is subject to change, so we always recommend checking our website or booking system for the most up-to-date session times before visiting.

Summer isn’t over just yet… but the next chapter of the Lido year is on its way 👋🏼

ONE EVENT DAY. TWO WAYS TO TAKE ON THE CHALLENGE 🏊‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Think the Devils Aquathlon means you have to run? Think again!

Alongside our iconic Devils Aquathlon, we’ll also be hosting the Cheltenham Lido Swim Challenge on the very same day - giving you the chance to be part of the atmosphere, without ever having to put on your running shoes.

😈 Fancy the full challenge?
Choose a 1km or 2km swim, followed by a 10km run to the Devil’s Chimney and back.

💦 Prefer to keep it in the pool?
Take on our swim-only challenge and choose your distance:
🏊 1km - 20 lengths
🏊 2km - 40 lengths
🏊 5km - 100 lengths

Whether you’re a runner who swims, a swimmer who definitely doesn’t run, or simply looking for a goal to work towards, there’s a challenge waiting for you.

💦 150 miles. 14 days. One incredible cause.

On Saturday 12 September, we’ll be welcoming three very special swimmers to Cheltenham Lido as part of an extraordinary journey from London to Cardiff.

Meet The Splash Dragons - Karen Davies, Fiona Coombs and Taniya Morris - three passionate outdoor swimmers taking on a 150-mile swimming challenge between 2–15 September, visiting lidos and open-water venues across England and Wales along the way.

And Cheltenham Lido is proud to be one of their stops 💙

Their goal? To raise more than £11,000 for Velindre Cancer Centre Wales, supporting specialist cancer treatment, care and groundbreaking research for patients and their families.

Their journey begins at Parliament Hill Lido following a visit to the Houses of Parliament, before taking them across the country and eventually to the finish line at Llanishen Reservoir in Cardiff.
