Project Vanguard: keeping you safe from the people it was created to keep safe.

It was set up to protect women and girls from Wethersfield residents. Yet its patrols reportedly overstepped the mark by detaining two teenage girls—the very people the project was supposed to protect.

Essex Police said two offences of assault without injury were recorded and "learning requirements" had been "passed to the security staff employers".

"Neither girl was injured in the incident, which did require a police review, following which two offences of assault without injury were recorded.

Congratulations Roger Hirst!

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱
We are pleased to be able to say that Cllr Roger Hirst MBE has been elected as Leader of the Conservative Group on Brentwood Council and is therefore Leader of the Opposition in the Borough. Roger takes over from Cllr Will Russell, who has done an outstanding job opposing the LibDem led coalition which runs the Council. Will has stood down for personal reasons.

Roger said: “It is a privilege to be leader of the Conservative Group on the Council and to serve our residents by leading the opposition and holding the LibDem / Labour Coalition to account. Under Will we have recently stopped the Coalition from endorsing the government’s new planning rules, which would blight our green belt, and forced a review to tighten our local planning policies. I look forward to taking that review forward with the support of our group. Common sense and a pragmatic approach can win the day, sway policy and make life better for our residents. We have a great group of Conservative Councillors and I am grateful to them for their confidence in me. Our thanks go to Will for his unifying leadership over recent years.”

ITV filmed a Reform councillor making an incestuous remark about one female candidate and talking about sexually assaulting another. Anyone defending that can spare us the speeches about protecting women.
