A Making it REAL home visit 🏠

During a Making it REAL home visit, practitioners work alongside families to explore simple, meaningful literacy activities.

For example, as part of the Books strand, a staff member might share a favourite story with the child and parent, modelling ways to pause, ask questions and encourage prediction. The parent is then supported to try the same approach, helping them build confidence and strengthen shared reading at home.

These visits create positive, practical opportunities for families to support early literacy in everyday life.
