Broomfield's seen a huge amount of private housebuilding in recent years, but sadly unaffordable for most Broomfield residents who might want to up or downsize, move out of their parents' home etc. A different approach for Broomfield? Community Land Trusts (CLTs) are not-for-profit. They're set up to build or renovate homes (and other assets), prioritised for existing residents - at genuinely affordable prices for that particular area - in perpetuity.
