What an amazing morning that was!

Over 200 fun runners ran the New Hall School and Great Park course for our community fun run. We hope you all enjoyed it, and please take the opportunity to give us your feedback via the QR code.

Many thanks to everyone who helped out on the day, all the volunteers, stewards, Essex RAYNET, First Aid, Chelmsford Community Radio 104.4FM and the runners! We aim to organise more runs next year - so spread the word!

There is the choice of three distances for all abilities, 2K, 5K or 10K.

The runs start 9.30am and check opens at 9am at New Hall School.

Chelmsford Lions Club will be holding a charity collection on the day.

We will also have to entertain runners and spectators.

We have a few free places still available for our Clock It boxing and mentoring event on Sunday 13 September.

'Clock It' is designed to empower young minds through the power of non contact boxing. High energy physical activities and group competitions are combined with impactful motivational talks to build confidence and resilience. By merging fitness with focus, young people will be provided with the tools needed to realise their full potential and lead with a winning minds.

The event takes place between 2 - 3pm at the Beaulieu Community Centre and is aimed at 11 - 16 year olds.

A big thank you to our volunteer stewards who helped to make the outdoor cinema a successful event! We always welcome residents i the community who might like to assist at future events. Why not sign up to the Council's volunteer bank? You won't be committing up front but it just means that you will be notified of future volunteering opportunities and you can decide if it is of interest and whether you would like to volunteer - find out more using the link in the comments.
