WE ARE BACK!
Hope everyone has had a fabulous summer.
Looking forward to getting in the routine again, welcoming you all back …. and hopefully meeting lots of new families. If you have a baby under 12 months why not bring them along and give us a try?
And tomorrow we’re joined by Lisa, who you can have a chat with after the session. Bring any concerns you may have, and get plenty of sound advice and suggestions to help you care for your baby.
We also have the interactive screen available, so you’re welcome to have a play! Phew, lots happening…

Has your child almost finished this year's Summer Reading Challenge? Don't forget to pick up their rewards from your local library for completing their six books. The challenge runs until 12th September so there is still time to finish!
Whether you read fast, slow or somewhere in between – just read to your own beat!

SBA's Community Employment Hub is here at Chard Library every Tuesday from 10:30am! 👨‍💻

What happens at an Employment Hub? They provide practical, face-to-face support for people looking for work or considering their next steps. At an SBA Employment Hub, we can help with:
Finding and applying for vacancies
CVs and job applications
Interview preparation
Identifying skills and experience
Looking at training and development opportunities
Exploring different types of work or self-employment
Understanding what local employment support is available
The hubs provide a regular local place where people can come in, speak to an adviser and get practical help based on what they need. No complicated process. Just accessible employment support in the community.
We are in hubs in Glastonbury Library, Chard Library, Wells Library, Yeovil Library, The Angel in Langport, Balsam Centre in Wincanton, Frome Library and by appointment for Shepton Mallet.

🎲 We're marking the end of the school holidays with another Board Games Day tomorrow from 9:30am! 🎲

Join us to play all the classics - we'll have Monopoly, Cludeo, Chess and more ready to pick up and play, plus lots of other great games too. There's nothing to book or pay so just come down and get gaming!

🪚🔩 Today from Midday at Chard Library! 🔩🪚

We're hosting another of our Cardboard Model Making Drop-Ins! Come and get creative using child friendly tools and bolts to make all manner of 3D cardboard creations. From castles to houses, machines, rockets and more, your imagination is the limit! We'll supply the card - though please feel free to bring any yourself - and all the supplies you need to get making so just come on down and get stuck in!
