Ready to Read to the Beat?

Next Saturday - 4th July, children across England and Wales are heading to their local library to sign up for the 2026 and start their summer reading adventure.

This year’s Challenge, , celebrates the connection between music and storytelling, encouraging children to discover stories, creativity and rhythm through books.

Taking part is completely free and children can read anything they enjoy, from adventures and comics to fact books and audiobooks.

So, visit the library next weekend and join the challenge!

📱 Our NHS App Help Session will be back again this Monday June 22nd from 2pm. 📱

Join us at Chard Library on the 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝟮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟯𝗽𝗺 where we'll be offering free sessions that can help you with the basics of:
– Using your phone or tablet to access NHS services
– Downloading and setting up the NHS App
– Creating an NHS Account
– Using the App and Account to access your prescriptions, medical records and appointments

There’s no need to book and nothing to pay, though you will need an internet-enabled smartphone, tablet or similar device to access the App and, if you are signing up for the first time, a form of ID. Library staff will also be unable to offer any health advice or to view any personal information.
