💥 The pressure for a fair voting system is growing inside Westminster.

More than 100 MPs have already signed an amendment to the Representation of the People Bill, calling on the government to get to grips with Britain's dysfunctional voting system.

Tabled by , the amendment calls for an independent National Commission on Electoral Reform, which could recommend an alternative to First Past the Post.

It's becoming more and more clear that Britain's democracy is in crisis. Most of the public knows that the way we do politics in this country is not working.

This amendment is an opportunity to make the government listen.

Happy Pride Month. It's a time to celebrate our wonderful LGBTQ community and appreciating that we live in a country where everyone should be able to be themselves and live without fear of persecution.

Recently a resident contacted one of our councillors who was asking for assistance on street charging. Somerset Council were contacted to ask which cable gulley system they approved or were advising residents to use.

Sadly there wasn't one and they just reminded the Councillors that if someone tripped it would be the residents responsibility.

Not very helpful when there are certified devices out there that can help car users.

Despite government pledges, more than 20 authorities will not allow gullies, citing safety, legal and parking worries

Every action has a reaction. Choosing to refill to a bottle may seem like it wouldn't help, but it will reduce the amount of plastic packaging used, lowering the demand on fossil fuels. The same bottle could be used over and over until it finally degrades and then can be recycled. ♻️
