Regarding the D-Day commemorations.
Please do not just turn up to the village hall on Thursday. Please contact the parish council and we will try to get an invitation to you; we tried our best and of course we missed some people out. I asked people when I was in the village, unfortunately they were not 80 or over! No one was missed out on purpose. This is a commemorative day to remember those that lost their lives to give us the freedom we so enjoy today and some of our guests will have lost family members and dearly want to celebrate them. Let us make this a good day and please no more comments suggesting we would miss our wonderful community members out on purpose, we are human and occasionally make mistakes.

It's with great disappointment that the Council has had to dispose of two of our reindeer display due to senseless vandalism at the weekend. Members of the Parish Council took part in the Act of Remembrance on 11th November on the Village Green. Thank you to the soldiers and sailors who were present, and the villagers for turning out to pay their respects.
