Selwood was proud to attend the Northumbrian Water Group GEM Awards last night, having been shortlisted in two categories 🏆

Our support on NWG’s Storm Overflow Programme was recognised in the Creativity and Innovation category, alongside the Whittle Dene Reservoir Overpumping Scheme for Project/Programme of the Year.

We're delighted to see the work of our teams recognised and it was a great evening spent with industry peers, celebrating the people and projects making a difference across the water sector.

Selwood is heading to the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition 💧

From 4th to 8th October, we’ll be exhibiting in Glasgow as part of The Workdry Group, showcasing how our integrated water solutions are helping customers respond to increasingly complex water challenges.

Bringing together expertise from across the Group, we’ll demonstrate how our mobile and modular rental solutions help customers move, store and treat water – supporting greater flexibility, operational continuity and resilience.

That same focus on flexibility will be at the heart of our business forum on Tuesday 6th October, where we’ll be asking: Is the age of immovable water infrastructure over?

We’re looking forward to connecting with customers, partners and industry peers to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the water sector.

What a day for the Selwood Charity Ride Out! 🏍️💙

A record-breaking 154 bikes took part in this year’s ride, helping to raise an incredible £5,151.41 for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

That brings the total raised through the annual charity Ride Outs since they began in 2020 to an staggering £22,494.02, supporting the vital lifesaving service Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance provides.

As main sponsor, we’re delighted to continue supporting an event that keeps getting bigger and better each year.

A huge thank you to everyone who rode, donated, marshalled, volunteered or supported the day – and especially to Phil and the team for the time and effort that goes into making it all happen.

Now, can we beat 154 next year? 👀🏍️

Earlier today, we officially opened the doors to our new Selwood branch in Inverness, bringing our specialist water solutions expertise closer to customers across the Highlands and north of Scotland.

Customers, partners and colleagues joined us to tour the new facility, meet our local team and learn more about our growing capability in Scotland. With our specialist equipment and expertise now located closer to customers in the area, the branch will help us respond even more quickly to planned and mission-critical requirements across water utilities, infrastructure and industry.

Inverness joins our already established locations in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, strengthening our coverage across Scotland and ensuring customers across the region have greater local access to our pump and storage rental fleet, Siltbuster wastewater treatment solutions and technical expertise.

Four of our brilliant Selwood colleagues took fundraising to new heights over the weekend, abseiling down Portsmouth’s iconic Spinnaker Tower! 🧗‍♂️

The team took on the challenge in support of Trinity Wi******er, a local charity doing incredible work to support people experiencing homelessness and help them move towards a more secure future.

Together, they raised an incredible £4,048 – a fantastic achievement for an important local cause. 💙

A huge well done to the team for taking on such an amazing challenge, and thank you to everyone who supported their fundraising efforts!

Fire and rescue services in England and Wales have already responded to 716 wildfires this year*, highlighting the scale of the challenge facing emergency services.

With specialist pumping equipment, a nationwide depot network and experienced teams, we can mobilise quickly to provide additional pumping capacity wherever it’s needed.
