PARISH COUNCIL SEEKS COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR GREENER COMMUNITY BUILDING
Chalfont St Giles Parish Council has applied for planning permission to install solar panels and a heat pump at the Chalfont St Giles Community Library Building, and is inviting residents and local organisations to show their support for the proposals.
The proposed improvements would help the Community Building generate clean electricity and move towards more efficient, lower-carbon heating. The project is an important step in reducing the building’s environmental impact and supporting a more sustainable future for a valued community facility.
The Council is encouraging people who support the scheme to make their views known through Buckinghamshire Council’s online planning portal. Positive comments from the community can help demonstrate local backing for practical investment in renewable energy and the long-term resilience of the building.

✅ Make sure doors and windows are locked, even if you're at home
✅ Use exterior lighting and alarm systems where possible
✅ Be cautious about sharing details of valuable purchases on social media

If you notice suspicious activity in your neighbourhood, report it to us. Information from the public plays an important role in helping prevent crime and keep our communities safe.
