On this day 50 years ago Bernard Thomas from Llechryd crossed the English Channel to France 🇫🇷 in a Teifi coracle.It took him 13 and a half hours, the last mile of it took 4 hours because the tide turned. On reaching land he planted a 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Welsh flag in the sand.

The last stage in the saga of the Cenarth mill restoration.
On January 1st 2023 when the water from the river was perfect we gave the wheel a turn for the first time in 30 years.

Before the mill wheel could work again the pond and leat needed to be cleaned out after 30 years of neglect.
