☔️Severe weather on the way - take care! 🌨️

Thunderstorms, heavy rain and localised flooding are possible across Cornwall overnight and into Thursday morning.

If you’re travelling, take extra care, allow more time for your journey and be prepared for difficult driving conditions.

If you live in an area at risk of flooding, keep an eye on local conditions and make sure you’re prepared. Never drive or walk through floodwater.

We have been asked by Anna Gelderd MP to share a short survey to all MwR residents about local services.

There is an online form which can be completed here:
https://forms.gle/wX6gHnXzEUqL4Fop6

Alternatively we will shortly be receiving paper copies which will be available to complete. If you would like a paper copy then please contact the Clerk who will arrange for this for you.

The more voices that can be captured, the more representative the survey results will be, which will help to inform Anna's work across the constituency and in Westminster.

To contact the Clerk, please email at:

Please only call 999 in a genuine emergency.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service has received a high volume of 999 calls about BBQs, bonfires and campfires over the weekend. We understand people are concerned, but our Fire Control team needs to keep emergency lines clear for people who are in danger.

With the current hot, dry conditions, please avoid bonfires, campfires, fireworks and disposable BBQs. Fires can spread quickly and put homes and neighbouring properties at risk.
