Over the half term, our cadets had a fantastic opportunity to visit RAF Coningsby for a day learning more about the Royal Air Force both past and present.
The visit included time with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, where cadets were able to learn about the important role it plays in preserving our aviation heritage and commemorating those who served during World War Two. Seeing these historic aircraft up close gave cadets a real appreciation of the legacy behind some of the RAF’s most iconic aircraft.
Cadets also had the chance to learn more about the modern RAF aircraft through the Typhoon, gaining an insight into one of the UK’s frontline fast jet capabilities!
The day also included a visit to the Survival Equipment Section, where cadets learnt about the vital equipment and specialist work that helps keep aircrew safe.
It was a brilliant experience for our cadets, offering a valuable look at the teamwork, professionalism and wide range of roles undertaken within the Royal Air Force.
A huge thank you to everyone at RAF Coningsby who supported the visit!
