Wakefield Family Hubs We offer support, activities and opportunities to connect in a friendly, local space. Wakefield Family Hubs are for everyone, whatever stage your family is at.

Wakefield Family Hubs are here for you from pregnancy, through your child’s early years and beyond, up to your child being age 19, or age 25 if they have a SEND need. Family Hubs can help you make the most of the support, activities and opportunities available in your community. Offering a wide range of services for children, young people, parents and carers, Family Hubs are a friendly, accessible place to get information, build connections and access support when you need it. Walk in, call or email to find out more. We’re here for you from pregnancy, through your child’s early years and beyond, up to your child being age 19, or age 25 if your child has a SEND need. This page shows the groups and programmes we have across the Wakefield district. Our What’s On Guides are always pinned to the top of our page so you can see what’s happening in each of our Family Hubs. All our Family Hubs are open Monday – Thursday 9:00am while 5:00pm, and Fridays 9:00am while 4:30pm. All of our Family Hub buildings are wheelchair accessible and have T-loop hearing support. Do you have worries about your child’s return to school in September? (e.g. Attendance, Behaviour, Anxiety, SEND, Transition)

Would you like strategies that you could try to help your child?

Would you like to speak to somebody and get advice on what could be done to help?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above, then the “Return to school helpline” service is available for parents and carers throughout August and September.

Educational Improvement Teachers (EITs) are available to take your call to listen to your worries, suggest possible support and provide impartial advice.

The Wakefield PAIR Team work with mums, dads, non-birthing partners, and carers and support with bonding with your baby if you are finding it difficult to build a positive relationship.

Support is usually offered in your home but can be offered at one of our Family Hubs or another community venue.

This service is amazing and free in Wakefield.

Wakefield Parent and Infant relationship team are free and accessible for all families across Wakefield! Just call the Wakefield 0-19 SPOC 0300 373 0944 if you want to talk.
Also, have some wonderful free resources to help you get to know your baby too.

Keep an eye out for our brand-new front door at Kendal Drive Family Hub now work has commenced, we will keep you updated about the progress.

✅ We're still open as usual, and all services continue to run as normal during the work.
