Friends of Castleford Greenway - National Cycle Route 69

Finally got round to clearing some of that huge pile of fosters and other cans on the hill on the side of the greenway, 180 cans picked up plus 22 glass bottles and ive only just started. I will have another go at it next week Once i get a new grabber.

Beautiful October morning for a walk down the Greenway. The leaves are starting to turn now. There is always something different to see. Today, a buzzard being mobbed by 2 jay’s in a tree, a Fleeting glimpse of the vibrant colours of the kingfisher and the sound of the green woodpecker somewhere over by the golf course.

The next phase of the Greenway over the river bridge near Methley Station is now under construction. Looking forward to a smoother surface!!!!
