Road Closure Notice – Carnforth Remembrance Day Parade & Service 2026

Please be advised that a temporary road closure will be in place on Sunday 8 November 2026 to allow the safe passage of the Carnforth Remembrance Day Parade & Service.

A moving road closure will operate between 10:30am and 12:00 noon on the following roads: North Road, Lancaster Road, New Street and Market Street, Carnforth. Market Street will be closed from Lower Market Street to the junction with Scotland Road (traffic lights) while the parade passes through.

📢 Could You Help Shape the Town's Future?

A vacancy has arisen on Carnforth Town Council for a Town Councillor representing Crag Bank Ward, and we are now seeking expressions of interest from local residents who would like to serve their community.

Being a Town Councillor is a rewarding opportunity to:
✅ Represent local people and their concerns
✅ Help influence decisions affecting the area
✅ Support community projects and events
✅ Make a real difference to the place where you live

The vacancy will be filled by co-option, meaning interested and eligible residents are invited to apply and may be invited to meet with councillors before a selection is made.

If you are passionate about our town, care about your community, and have a little time to spare, why not consider putting yourself forward?

📧 To express an interest or find out more, please contact: Bob Bailey, Town Clerk [email protected] by Friday 23rd October.

Please share this post and help us reach people who may have the enthusiasm and commitment to serve their community.
