🚨 Digwyddiadau Mis Awst | August Incidents

Roedd mis Awst yn fis eithriadol o heriol i Wasanaeth Tân ac Achub Canolbarth a Gorllewin Cymru, gyda chriwiau'n ymateb i 560 o ddigwyddiadau tanau gwyllt yn unig.

Ni yw’r drydydd Gwasanaeth Tân ac Achub fwyaf yn y DU, gan gwmpasu ardal wledig yn bennaf o 4.500 milltir sgwâr, sy’n cynnwys 58 Gorsaf Dân ac yn cyflogi tua 1,300 o staff 🚒🔥🧑‍🚒

Dyma gipolwg ar yr hyn a’n cadwodd ni’n brysur yn ystod mis Awst.

August was an exceptionally demanding month for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, with crews responding to 560 wildfire incidents alone.

We are the third largest Fire and Rescue Service in the UK, covering a predominantly rural area of 4,500 square miles, comprising 58 Fire Stations and employing around 1,300 staff. 🚒🔥🧑‍🚒

Here’s a look back at what kept us busy during August.

At 13:46, UK time, the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center. From that moment on, everyone around the world paused to watch in disbelief at the scale of devastation that was to follow.

Today at 13:46, exactly 25 years on, our duty crew stood still once more in remembrance of the 343 FDNY firefighters and the thousands of people who lost their lives.

Our hearts go out to their families and loved ones. Rydyn ni'n cofio. ❤️

As bikers tend to ride in groups or pairs, it is usually the case that when one is involved in an accident the first person on the scene will be a fellow biker.

Biker Down is a FREE ‘Emergency First Aid’ course for Bikers provided by Fire and Rescue Services across the UK.

The course will give participants a better understanding of what to do if they come across a road traffic collision and how to manage it safely.
