The Pedran in Cherry hardwood ✨

This cherry hardwood harp, complete with a full set of Camac levers, has been crafted for a recent customer. Made from sustainably sourced cherry from Brechfa, each harp is completely unique. Cherry is a wonderful tonewood, not only for its rich, warm appearance, but also for the beautifully rounded sound it produces.

Hello and welcome to all our new followers 👋

We’ve had lots of new people join us recently, so just a quick introduction… Pedran Harps is all about handcrafted Celtic folk harps, made with care and built to last by Thomas watkins, who has over 10 yesrs of experience in harp making.
Each harp is made bespoke to the individual customer, offering a variety of wood choices from Ash to Cherry, Beech and Black Walnut.

We are passionate about sustainability which is why the majority of our wood is sawn from local , wind-blown timber (using our very own saw mill)from trees that would have otherwise gone to waste. 🌳

With details like the eyelets and even tuning keys made by hand, investing in a Pedran Harp is something truly unique and special, no harp is the same - in the same way no tree is the same..🌲

Thanks for being here to support us-it really means a lot 🎶

What wood do we use?

Local Welsh Ash, Beech & Cherry — all sustainably sourced from naturally felled trees 🌳 For a bolder grain and darker hue, choose American Black Walnut. 🌳 🌳🌳

🌳🌳🌳Did you know, all wood we use is sourced responsibly, and our Ash and Beech and Cherry hardwood is taken from naturally felled local trees, by Tom himself. We are proud to give new life to wood that nature has already let go of. It’s our way of crafting responsibly, with heart. Here are some snaps of the saw mill at work with some Ash 🌳 🌳

Over a century old, this Zyther harp carried the weight of time and history. Restoring it for our customer required patience, precision, and a lot of love. The result? A beautifully revived instrument, ready to sing again. Check out the comments for the before photos 👇🏼✨
