It’s been a busy week between the Senedd, Carmarthenshire and lots in between.
We’re moving closer to having Constituency offices with staff and start moving with casework and fighting the good fight on behalf of all the constituents.
Next week, following on from asking the First Minister a very important question on Net Zero in Plenary (see below), next week I’ve got another question incoming.
Rest assured, we’ll be doing our best to hold this government to account
[Might even pop ‘tup north’, to see a man called Rob, watch this space]
The question is:-
PLAID CYMRU HAS ABANDONED RURAL WALES?
Across Carmarthenshire—from Pumsaint to Bynea, Ferryside to the Tywi Valley—residents are watching their pristine countryside be industrialised with massive wind turbines, giant solar sites, and miles of 27-metre steel pylons.
During the election campaign, Plaid Cymru politicians stood shoulder-to-shoulder with these very communities, offering warm words and alternatives. But now that they are in Government, the doorstep promises have been traded for Cardiff Bay's unrealistic Net Zero agenda.
Watch Reform UK Member of the Senedd for Sir Gaerfyrddin, Gareth Beer, challenge First Minister Rhun ap Iorwerth directly: Was it all just lip service to get elected? Why should rural communities sacrifice their farming, tourism, and way of life for corporate green infrastructure?
Reform UK stands with our farmers, our rural villages, and our countryside. We demand real infrastructure solutions like mandatory undergrounding, not the permanent destruction of our heritage.
