Shop Local where you can.

What a day the 13th June will be when the whole town is out in force to celebrate 🥳 and make memories.

This is a fantastic tradition for everyone to get involved in.

Saturday 13th June 2026

We have brought our local Town Centre to the Centre of the Gala Day celebrations for one main reason - Support Local!

All our local businesses who are open on the big day will be so happy to see the full town centre buzzing and full of visitors!

Don't forget to visit them too on the day 😍

Please nominate your Local Heroes, Carluke & District have plenty of them ❤️

Please nominate your Local Heroes, Carluke & District have plenty of them ❤️

At the start of each new term in the Scottish Parliament, every MSP nominates a 'Local Hero' who has made an extraordinary contribution to others or had a positive impact in their community — whether through volunteering, fundraising, supporting neighbours, helping local organisations, or simply always being there when people need them most.

The chosen Local Hero will attend the Opening Ceremony at the Scottish Parliament on Saturday 27 June as my guest.

Having been Clydesdale's MSP for five years, I have been fortunate to meet many remarkable and dedicated people who go above and beyond to support and strengthen our communities.

While I am considering who to nominate, I am also inviting nominations if there is someone you know in Clydesdale deserving of this recognition. I would encourage you to get in touch and nominate them as our Local Hero so we can celebrate the incredible contribution they make to community life.

📅 The deadline for nominations is Tuesday 10 June.

To nominate someone, email me at:
📧 [email protected]

Please include the nominee’s name and a few details about why they deserve recognition. See less
