A wonderful evening at the Cumbria Life Magazine Awards

It was a pleasure to attend the Cumbria Life Awards 2026 alongside so many incredible businesses, organisations and individuals from across the county.

We were proud to be shortlisted for Best Environmental Project of the Year, and while the award wasn't ours this time, we'd like to congratulate Futureproof Cumbria on their well-deserved win, along with fellow finalists ACTion with Communities in Cumbria.

A huge thank you to everyone who voted for Netherby Hall and supported our nomination. Being shortlisted was a fantastic achievement and reflects the ongoing commitment of our team to sustainability and caring for the environment around us.

Congratulations to all of this year's finalists and winners. It was a wonderful evening celebrating the people and projects making a positive difference across Cumbria. 💚

Step back into the golden age of swing this October as we welcome acclaimed Scottish jazz vocalist and multi-instrumentalist David Toule to Netherby Hall.

Joined by acclaimed pianist Tim Lallemant, David will bring the timeless music of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin and Louis Armstrong to life in an intimate evening of classic jazz, rich vocals and remarkable musical talent.

Explore the beautiful grounds and walled garden at Netherby Hall, meet our gardening team, and learn more about the ongoing work taking place throughout the gardens.

Visitors can also join one of our guided tours at 11am or 1pm, offering a closer look at the history, planting and care behind the gardens.

In the current edition of in-Cumbria magazine, our Director of Operations, Kim Capstick, reflects on making the move from multinational corporate hospitality business Center Parcs to joining Netherby Hall in 2023 and embracing a new challenge. Along the way, she discovered that confidence comes from being willing to learn, adapt and trust your own abilities.

Today, Kim is passionate about helping others recognise their potential, develop new skills and grow in their careers, something that continues to shape the culture here at Netherby Hall.
