Drowning Prevention Week - 13th - 20th June.

All this week our crews from Carlisle West Fire Station and Carlisle East Fire Station will be at The Sands Leisure Centre, Carlisle, talking to visitors about water safety, and how you can stay safe around lakes and rivers.

Sat/Sun 10:30 - 12:30
Mon- Fri 14:30 - 16:30.

We also have our VR Headsets with us.

Exercise Big Shop.

Tonight -Thurs 11th June 2026, crews from Carlisle West Fire Station , Carlisle East Fire Station , Wigton Fire Station, Brampton Fire Station , Lazonby Fire Station, Longtown Fire Station , Penrith Fire Station Patterdale Fire Station & Alston Fire Station, will be taking part in an Exercise at the Former Matalan building in Carlisle, synthetic smoke will be used to simulate a building fire in a commercial premise, please do not panic & ring it in, it is a brilliant opportunity for our crews to practice our BA & Firefighting tactics in such a large building.
The Exercise, will be running from 19:00hrs - 21:00hrs, with the smoke generators being turned on at 18:30hrs.
