Britain’s participation in the war against Iran is criminal.
This is an illegal war for regime change, waged against an oppressed country.
Once again, a Labour government is dragging the country into a US-led war for oil.
What is needed is a fight for socialist internationalism among workers of all countries.
Not moral appeals to a Labour government which has none.

The attack on Iran ordered by Donald Trump and his war-crazed cabal is a massive political crime, illegal under international law and in direct violation of the US Constitution. It has been launched, in collaboration with the genocidal Israeli regime, without even the figment of authorization from Congress, against a country which has not attacked the United States and poses no threat to it.

Trotskyism’s defence of the perspective of world socialist revolution against national reformism and the disastrous Stalinist theory of “socialism in one country”, and of Permanent Revolution against policies of adaptation to the national bourgeoisie, are of burning contemporary relevance.

At stake was the survival of Trotskyism, of revolutionary Marxism, as an organised political tendency. The ICFI’s victory over the WRP, and expulsion of those who refused to accept its socialist internationalist principles, was an event of global, historic significance.
