If you, or somebody you support, are over 60+ and live in Wales, then you can get in touch with the Older People's Commissioner for Wales' Advice and Assistance team for support and guidance.

The Commissioner's Advice and Assistance team can help you if you need help with services like health, social care, community services and housing.

Are you a Cardiff Council homes tenant or leaseholder? This is your chance to shine!
We’re celebrating gardens of all shapes and sizes with five competition categories:
🌸 Front Garden
🌿 Back Garden
🌻 Community Garden
🌼 Communal Garden
🥕 Vegetable Patch
🏆 Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in every category and a big cash prize for the overall winner!
📅 Deadline for applications and visits: 1st October 2026
An officer will visit your garden on an agreed time between now and the closing date of 1st October, to confirm your place in the competition and take photos. 🌿📸

Due to staff sickness we will have to cancel our Hewell Court Drop in session today.

We will rebook the drop in session to a different date/time for September.

We still have the St Mellons Hub drop in this Thursday (27/08/26) from 10:00 - 12:00 and keep an eye out on our social media for next month's timetable!

Where a person does not have someone who can advocate for them, the Cardiff and Vale Advocacy Gateway can help.

To have your voice heard, and gain a better understanding of social services, call 0808 801 0577, free of charge, between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
